Job summary

The CORE Institute in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Patient Services Representative to provide essential front-desk support for patient visits. The role focuses on courteous patient interactions, efficient call handling, and accurate processing of payments and appointments.

Ideal candidates will have at least six months of medical receptionist experience, strong typing and organizational skills, and a solid understanding of HIPAA confidentiality.

Qualifications

Job description

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient and professional telephone communications.
• Collects payments and co-payments for all services at time of the patient’s exam.
• Demonstrates courtesy and helpfulness towards patients and their families.
• Scheduling Walk-in, STAT, and Same Day Appointments.
• Cancelling/Re-Scheduling No Show and incomplete exams as well as confirming next day appointments.
• Escorts and directs patients to dressing rooms and lockers for changing into exam gowns.
• Prints out all patient paperwork and assembles patient’s charts on behalf of Rad Technologists.
• Demonstrate cooperative, positive and professional patient care and customer service.
• Demonstrates commitment to organizational goals.
• Attend all mandatory in-services and training.
• Verify and process patient benefits/responsibilities for upcoming appointments.
• Confirm next day appointments.
• Other duties as assigned

Education

High school diploma/GED equivalent is required.

Experience

• Minimum of six months experience as a medical receptionist.
• Experience with customer service and multi-phone lines and knowledge of proper phone etiquette.

Patient Services Representative (PSR)

Requirements

The job holder must demonstrate current competencies for job position.

Knowledge

Understanding of HIPAA with the ability to maintain confidentiality of information.

Skills

• Must demonstrate excellent patient care skills.
• Basic typing and keyboarding skills, with a familiarity of computers and general office equipment.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Abilities
