Neighborhood Health Center of WNY, Inc. is seeking a Patient Service Representative to greet patients, verify insurance information, schedule and adjust appointments, and collect co-payments. You will be the first contact at our Blasdell location and may travel to other Neighborhood sites as needed.

The role emphasizes accurate data entry, patient communication, cash handling, and teamwork in a busy health center environment.

Patient service representatives greet patients upon arrival, check-in patients, verify insurance information, schedule and change appointments, and collect co-payments.

As a patient service representative, you’ll be the first person patients see when they arrive at Neighborhood, and you’ll help set the tone for a positive patient visit.

About the Role:

• Verifies patient information and makes corrects in the computer system
• Confirms appointment times, locations, and providers during check-in
• Communicates delays to the front desk lead
• Assists in ensuring appointments are confirmed
• Assists in open and closing procedures
• Prints daily appointment schedules and front desk reports
• Verifies insurance through epaces, heathenet, healthplex
• Inputs insurance information including active/expired dates
• Sends appropriate patient messages
• Assists patients in filling out forms
• Collects co-payments including sliding scale nominal fee
• Adheres to cash handling policy

You will be primarily based at our Blasdell location, 4233 Lake Avenue, and will also travel to other Neighborhood sites as needed.

Education and Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Able to read, write and speak the English language. A second language of Spanish is preferred

Compensation: Starting rate $18.50 per hour.
