Evolve Orthopedic Partners in New York is seeking a friendly Patient Service Representative for the Physical Therapy department. You will be the first face patients see, greet them on arrival, check them in, and help set a positive tone from the moment they walk through our doors.

This front desk role covers reception, appointment scheduling, patient intake, billing verification, co-pays collection, and basic documentation in the EMR system.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of two years in a customer service setting, preferably one year receptionist experience in a medical office.
• Knowledge of medical terminology helpful.
• Exceptional customer service skills required.
• Experience working with an EMR/PM system required.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Able to multi-task in a high-volume environment.

Responsabilidades

• Greet patients and answer phones at general reception.
• Check-in patients and verify appointment and billing information.
• Schedule appointments.
• Collect co-pays and co-insurance.
• New patient intake and registration; review paperwork for completeness.
• Input patient demographics in the computer system; review benefits with patients.
• Explain missed appointment policy and set up FOTO intake surveys.
• Check-out patients and schedule follow-up appointments as instructed by clinicians.
• Assist Clinical staff with follow-up FOTO status surveys.
• Assist Central Billing Office with medical records requests as needed.
• Monitor Plans of Care for certification; log discharged patients in the system.
• Scan documents into the electronic medical records system.
• Maintain Active Patient statistics and scheduled appointment records.
• Perform other duties as needed.

We are looking for a Patient Service Representative to join the team in our Physical Therapy department! We're looking for an outgoing, welcoming Patient Service Representative to be the first face our patients see! In this front desk role, you'll greet patients as they arrive, check them in, and help set the tone for a positive experience from the moment they walk through our doors. 40 hours per week. Hours range - 6:30am-6pm Monday-Thursday and 6:30am-4pm Friday

Responsibilities

• General reception to include greeting patients and answering phone


• Check-in patients and verify appointment and billing information


• Schedule appointments


• Collect co-pays and co-insurance

• Assist Central Billing Office (CBO) with Medical Records Request per Policy & Procedure


• Monitor/Track Plans of Care (POC’s) for Certification


• Log discharged patients in computer system


• Scan documentation, prescriptions, protocols, flow sheets, HEP’s, and other information into the patient (electronic) medical records


• Maintain Active Patient statistics and scheduled appointments


• Log discharged patients in computer system


• Other responsibilities as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED


• Minimum of two years of experience in customer service setting, preferably one year receptionist experience in a medical office.


• Knowledge of medical terminology


• Exceptional customer service skills required;


• Experience working with an EMR/PM required;


• Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills;


• Highly organized with strong attention to detail;


• Quick thinker with ability to pivot in a fast-paced environment;


• Ability to multi-task in a high-volume environment is a must;
