Job summary

Peachtree Immediate Care in Georgia seeks a friendly Front Desk Receptionist to deliver excellent customer service and provide clerical support to clinical staff. You will be the first point of contact for patients, greet visitors, verify insurances, collect copays, and coordinate with providers for a smooth patient experience.

The role requires strong communication, a positive attitude, and the ability to handle 12-hour shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of reception/front desk experience.
• Customer service experience in a healthcare outpatient setting preferred.
• Ability to work up to 12-hour shifts during the week or weekend as needed.
• Ability to escort or transport patients by wheelchair or stretcher when needed.
• Detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Typing 25 words per minute.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a friendly, helpful manner.
• Check in patients, verify insurances, update information, and collect copays.
• Act as patient advocate coordinating with clinical staff and providers.
• Answer incoming phone calls promptly.
• Maintain a neat, orderly waiting area.
• Assist patients with ambulatory difficulties and mobility needs.
• Open and close clinic procedures and reporting.
• Perform additional clerical duties as necessary.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Promptly greet patients and visitors in the waiting area in a friendly and helpful manner
• Check in patients, verify insurances, update necessary patient information in the system, and collect copay
• Serve as a patient advocate to provide world-class care in coordination with clinical staff and providers
• Promptly answer incoming phone calls
• Maintain a neat and orderly waiting room
• Assist patients with ambulatory difficulties, including obtaining wheelchairs and provide assistance with walking
• Responsible for opening and closing clinic procedures and reporting
• Perform additional clerical duties as necessary
