Job summary

Pediatric Home Service is seeking a full-time Patient Service Representative to join our customer-focused team. The role supports patients, families, providers, and internal teams by phone, email, help desk, and in person, ensuring timely responses and accurate documentation.

You will coordinate DME intake, delivery orders, and patient supply needs, assist with referrals, maintain physician orders, and uphold HIPAA compliance while delivering compassionate, high-quality service to medically

Qualifications

• High school diploma or 1-6 months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Durable medical equipment (DME) intake/ admissions experience preferred
• Exceptionally organized, multi-tasking, problem solving and communication and strong keyboard skills. A high level of initiative combined with a customer service mentality is also required.
• Experience in Brightree EHR a plus!

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, providers, and internal teams by phone, email, help desk, and in person.
• Coordinate and confirm delivery orders for Durable Medical Equipment (DME) and, when applicable, IV supplies.
• Obtain patient supply orders and assist families with ongoing equipment and supply needs.
• Support new patient referrals and complete DME intake activities.
• Obtain and maintain physician orders and required documentation for products and services.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient account information and documentation.
• Assist with patient and family questions related to orders, deliveries, billing, and services.
• Partner with internal teams to resolve service concerns and ensure a positive patient and family experience.
• Coordinate courier and delivery needs with appropriate team members.
• Complete outbound calls and follow-up activities to support patient care and service needs.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA, PHS policies, and electronic health record requirements.
• Participate in Patient Services Coordinator of the Day responsibilities, as applicable.
• Participate in an on-call rotation when required based on business needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

THE POSITION:

We are looking for a full-time Patient Service Representative to join our customer-focused, supportive team. Our Customer Service department is a fast-paced, high-energy environment and you’ll find yourself challenged and required to use critical thinking every day.
