TEKsystems, a leading tech and workforce solutions provider, is seeking an experienced Patient Service Representative for an onsite role in Los Angeles, CA. You will welcome patients, verify insurance, collect payments, and manage registrations and scheduling to ensure smooth healthcare journeys.

The role requires at least 1 year of medical front office and insurance verification experience, with proficiency in EMR/EHR systems and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of medical front office experience.
• Minimum 1 year of insurance eligibility and verification experience.
• Experience with patient registration and appointment scheduling.
• Experience utilizing EMR/EHR systems.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medi-Cal, HMO, and commercial insurance plans.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and visitors while providing outstanding customer service.
• Manage patient check-in and check-out processes.
• Complete patient registration, demographic updates, and required documentation.
• Verify insurance eligibility for Medicare, Medi-Cal, HMO, and commercial plans.
• Confirm primary and secondary insurance coverage and maintain accurate payer information.
• Collect co-pays, self-pay amounts, co-insurance, and other patient payments.
• Schedule appointments and maintain provider calendars.
• Answer incoming calls and assist patients with questions and concerns.
• Follow up with patients regarding missed appointments.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the EMR system.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Los Angeles, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
