Olympic Sports & Spine (OSS) in Puyallup, WA is seeking a proactive Patient Service Representative to join our fast-paced clinic on a full-time basis. You will handle front-desk duties, greet patients, schedule appointments, verify insurance, and coordinate with billing and treating staff.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent plus several years in a related role, strong verbal and written communication, solid computer skills, and a detail-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in an appropriately related position or equivalent education/experience.
• Knowledge of insurance and verification processes.
• Proficiency with computer programs and office equipment.
• Experience with multi-line phone systems and strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Process all activities related to OSS patient services, including scheduling, insurance verification, chart maintenance, and communication with referral sources.
• Manage high-volume patient scheduling, verify insurance, obtain authorizations, and balance daily cash and print reports.
• Maintain daily statistical logs and pull charts for next-day appointments; follow up on open items and communicate with billing and treating staff.

Patient Service Rep. - Puyallup 112th Street

Olympic Sports & Spine (OSS)

seeks a full-time, proactive, customer-service-driven PSR to join our fast-paced Puyallup 112th St. clinic.

Additionally, our experienced staff offers comprehensive training and ongoing support.

The schedule is Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m to 6:00 p.m., for a total of 40 hours per week.

Summary of Duties:

Process all activities related to OSS’s patient services. Patient service functions include phone calls, scheduling, insurance verification, follow-up, maintaining charts, filing, and communication with referral sources. Performs other daily operating functions associated with the front desk position.

Manage all Aspects of High-Volume Patient Scheduling:

• Receive incoming patient phone calls.
• Verify insurance and obtain any required authorizations.
• Build and maintain all patient charts.
• Collect any outstanding patient payments, balance the money nightly, and print reports.
• Maintain daily statistical log sheets that include all follow-ups.
• Pull charts for the next day’s appointments and make reminder calls.
• Work on the patient issue listing and task list daily to resolve all issues.
• Communicate with OSS staff through Outlook email.
• Communicate closely with billing and treating staff to resolve all patient matters.
• Open and sort mail daily.
• Perform other related duties as required.
• Participate in educational activities and attend monthly staff meetings.

Education/Experience:

High School graduation or equivalent AND three years of experience in an appropriately related position OR Equivalent education/experience.
