Endeavor Health is seeking a Patient Service Representative to handle pre-registrations, registrations, billing and data entry in a fast-paced hospital setting in Bolingbrook, IL. This full-time role requires flexibility in schedule and occasional travel to other locations.

Responsibilities include patient data collection, eligibility screening and assisting patients with payment options while maintaining excellent customer service and accuracy.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Associates degree preferred in Business Administration/Management.
• 2 years of healthcare registration, scheduling, patient accounts or customer service experience.
• Manual dexterity to operate office machines.
• Knowledge of health insurances, medical terminology and anatomy.
• Strong data entry and keyboarding skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bilingual skills.
• A valid driver’s license is required for off-site duties.

Responsabilités

• Provide pre-registrations, registrations, order management and cash collection for inpatient, outpatient, ER, urgent care and same day surgery patients.
• Collect and verify demographic, insurance and clinical data from multiple sources and obtain signatures as needed.
• Screen third-party eligibility and enter medical necessity coding to aid accurate payment.
• Interact with patients and families to explain revenue cycle processes and payment options.

Hourly Pay Range

$18.76 - $27.20 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

Position: Patient Service Rep

Location: 130 N Weber Road, Bolingbrook

Full Time: 36 hours

Hours: M-Thursday 8-4:45 / Friday 8-3:30 and 1 Sat per month 7:30a - 12:30p

Required Travel: Occasionally

This role includes some travel to other locations and requires flexible hours to meet operational needs

What you will do

• Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, responsible for providing in-patient, out-patient, emergency room, immediate care and same day surgery patients with timely and accurate pre-registrations, registrations, order management, charge capture, cash collection functions and medical information systems.
• Collects, analyzes and records demographic, insurance/financial and clinical data from multiple sources and obtains other information and signatures necessary for the above processes.
• Screens for third-party eligibility and enters medical necessity coding to ensure accurate payment is secured.
• Interacts in a customer-focused manner to ensure the needs of patients and their families are met and that they understand the hospital’s revenue cycle expectations, including resolution of personal liabilities through various payment options.

• 2 Years of registration, scheduling, patient accounts, cash collections or customer service experience in a healthcare setting
• Manual dexterity to operate various office machines
• Knowledge of health insurances, medical terminology and anatomy
• Strong data entry and keyboarding skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Bilingual skills
• A valid driver’s license is required if the incumbent is selected to perform related duties at an off site location. If the incumbent uses their personal vehicle, the incumbent must maintain automobile liability coverage as required by law and evidence of such coverage may be requested.
