Endeavor Health, a leading healthcare system in Illinois, seeks a Patient Service Rep for our Oak Park/Elmhurst area. This on-site role handles pre-registrations, registrations and basic charge capture for inpatient and outpatient services.

You will collect demographic and insurance data, screen eligibility, and support cash collection while maintaining a patient‑focused approach. Schedule: Mon-Fri 8–4, 36 hours weekly, with some travel between sites.

Formación

• High School diploma or GED required; associates preferred.
• Experience in healthcare registration, scheduling or patient accounts desired.
• Knowledge of health insurance basics and medical terminology beneficial.

• Provide pre-registration and registration for in-patient, out-patient, ER and same-day surgery patients.
• Collect and verify demographic, insurance and clinical data; support third-party eligibility checks.
• Engage with patients to explain revenue-cycle processes and payment options.

Hourly Pay Range:

$18.76 - $27.20 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate’s expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Position: Patient Service Rep
• Location: 932 Lake Street, Oak Park
• Full Time: 36 hours
• Hours: Monday thru Friday 8-4, Sat rotation at Elmhurst
• Required Travel: Yes Elmhurst
• This role includes some travel to other locations and requires flexible hours to meet operational needs

What you will do:

• Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, responsible for providing in-patient, out-patient, emergency room, immediate care and same day surgery patients with timely and accurate pre-registrations, registrations, order management, charge capture, cash collection functions and medical information systems.
• Collects, analyzes and records demographic, insurance/financial and clinical data from multiple sources and obtains other information and signatures necessary for the above processes. Screens for third‑party eligibility and enters medical necessity coding to ensure accurate payment is secured.
• Interacts in a customer‑focused manner to ensure the needs of patients and their families are met and that they understand the hospital’s revenue cycle expectations, including resolution of personal liabilities through various payment options.

What you will need:

• High School or GED Required
• Associates Degree Business Administration/Management Preferred
• 2 Years of registration, scheduling, patient accounts, cash collections or customer service experience in a healthcare setting
• Manual dexterity to operate various office machines
• Knowledge of health insurances, medical terminology and anatomy
• Strong data entry and keyboarding skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Bilingual skills
• A valid driver’s license is required if the incumbent is selected to perform related duties at an off site location. If the incumbent uses their personal vehicle, the incumbent must maintain automobile liability coverage as required by law and evidence of such coverage may be requested.
