Job summary

Endeavor Health in Naperville is seeking a Part Time Patient Service Rep for the OBGYN division. The role supports in-patient, out-patient, ER and same-day surgery patients with pre-registrations, registrations, and charge capture while delivering friendly, accurate service.

You will collect demographic and insurance data, verify eligibility, and code medical necessity to help secure payment. The position requires strong data entry and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office; bilingual skills

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Associates Degree in Business Administration/Management preferred.
• 2 years of registration, scheduling, patient accounts, cash collections or customer service experience in healthcare.
• Knowledge of health insurances, medical terminology and anatomy.
• Strong data entry and keyboarding skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bilingual skills.
• A valid driver’s license if off-site duties are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-patient, out-patient, ER, immediate care and same-day surgery pre-registrations, registrations, order management, charge capture, and cash collection.
• Collect, analyze and record demographic, insurance/financial and clinical data; obtain signatures as needed and screen for third-party eligibility; enter medical necessity coding.
• Interact with patients and families to ensure they understand revenue cycle expectations and available payment options.

Screens for third-party eligibility and enters medical necessity coding to ensure accurate payment is secured.* Interacts in a customer-focused manner to ensure the needs of patients and their families are met and that they understand the hospital's revenue cycle expectations, including resolution of personal liabilities through various payment options.**What you will need:*** High School or GED Required* Associates Degree Business Administration/Management Preferred* 2 Years of registration, scheduling, patient accounts, cash collections or customer service experience in a healthcare setting* Manual dexterity to operate various office machines* Knowledge of health insurances, medical terminology and anatomy* Strong data entry and keyboarding skills* Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite* Bilingual skills* A valid driver’s license is required if the incumbent is selected to perform related duties at an off site location.
