Brown University Health is seeking a Patient Service Representative who greets patients, registers them, answers phones, schedules appointments, obtains referrals and authorizations, and processes forms with accuracy and courtesy. This role supports the Practice Manager and upholds the organization’s values.
You will maintain patient privacy, assist with financial workflows, and may travel to satellite offices as needed while demonstrating compassion, accountability, respect, and excellence.
The Patient Service Representative reports to the Practice Manager. The Patient Service Representative oversees and verifies the financial processes associated with patient services provided in the Practice. The Patient Service Representative greets patients, performs registration check-in functions, answers phones, schedules patient appointments, obtains referrals and authorizations, processes forms, and performs discharge process.
