Department Overview

Serving as Minnesota's children's hospital since 1924, Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota is the eighth-largest pediatric healthcare organization in the U.S. It handles nearly 13,000 inpatient visits and over 200,000 outpatient visits annually, offering services across all major pediatric specialties including emergency, neonatal, pediatric intensive care, surgery, radiology, and more. The organization includes facilities in Minneapolis, St. Paul, Minnetonka, Roseville, and Woodbury, providing a comprehensive range of pediatric care and outpatient services.

Position Summary

The Patient Services Coordinator (PSC) is a vital front-line role, delivering exemplary customer service to families, staff, and providers both in person and by phone. They ensure a positive patient and family experience by providing accurate information, managing patient registration and check-in efficiently, and supporting clinical operations. The PSC also serves as the clinic’s technology resource.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education preferred.
  • Minimum one year of customer service experience required; medical office experience and knowledge of medical insurance preferred.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, strong computer skills, respectful communication, teamwork, confidentiality knowledge, reliability, problem-solving ability, and multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment are essential.
