Job summary

University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics Authority is seeking a Patient Scheduling Specialist (Transplant, Finance) to schedule appointments via phone, in person or electronic correspondence. You will be the first point of contact, helping patients across multiple locations, and coordinating with clinic staff to ensure timely care.

Patient Scheduling Specialist, Transplant (Finance)

Work Schedule

Full-Time, 40 hours per week. Shifts scheduled Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

Pay

Pay starts at $20.14 per hour, work experience that is relevant to the position will be taken into consideration when determining the starting base pay.

We are seeking a Patient Scheduling Specialist to:

• Utilize your excellent customer service skills to schedule appointments via phone, in-person or electronic correspondence.
• Make an impact on the patient experience by making it easier for patients to schedule appointments across multiple locations with just one phone call.
• Assist patients and their families with their appointment scheduling needs.
• Make outgoing phone calls to patients to schedule their appointments.
• Coordinate with clinic staff to ensure that patients receive appropriate care in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• No minimum education. Required
• Associate's Degree or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare, or other related field Preferred

Work Experience

• 1 year of previous experience working in an office or customer service environment Required
• Previous experience working in healthcare Preferred
• Previous experience scheduling patients Preferred
• Previous experience coordinating multiple activities in an office setting Preferred
