Job summary

Saint Clare's Health, part of Prime Healthcare, seeks a Scheduler to coordinate tests and procedures across hospital departments. You will enter patient demographics, insurance authorizations, and prepare the surgical schedule for on-site services.

Responsibilities

• The scheduler schedules tests/procedure cases for all patients as scheduled events across departments.
• Coordinates with departments and ensures complete patient demographics and insurance authorizations are entered.
• Prepares and distributes the surgical schedule and on-call list.

Responsibilities

The scheduler routinely schedules tests/procedure cases for all patients where services occur as a scheduled event. This may include, but is not limited to; Clinic visits, Surgery, G.I. Lab, Cardiac Cath Lab, Radiology, Respiratory Therapy, Nutritional Services, Infusion units or any other location where scheduling of a test or procedure may occur. Coordinates with departments as necessary. Ensures that accurate, complete and thorough patient demographics are entered into the computer system, including insurance and authorizations if applicable. Notifies departments as necessary of various services that may require, equipment, instrumentation and supplies from outside vendors for scheduled surgeries. Prepares and distributes the surgical schedule and on call list to appropriate departments or personnel.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $15.92/Hr. to $20.50/Hr.. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
