Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of basic nursing care and patient safety.
• Respond quickly to requests and interact with people at all levels.
• Minimum 1 year in psychiatric settings or inpatient/outpatient programs preferred.
• BLS certification and CNA status preferred; inpatient nursing education ongoing.

Responsibilities

• Sits with assigned patient at all times during shift to ensure safety.
• Assists RN to maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Observes patient response to care and reports changes to the RN.
• Participates in mandatory training and completes health and safety requirements.
