Texas Children's Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Assistant for our Float Pool. You will perform a variety of routine and specialized patient care activities under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.

The role emphasizes Family Centered Care, cost-effective delivery, and developmentally appropriate care for pediatric and related patient populations. The Float Pool may require movement to EC, Acute Care, and Critical Care areas.

Qualifikationen

  • Requires completion of a formal nursing assistant program or CNA certification.
  • Currently enrolled in a BSN degree program with at least one clinical rotation completed.
  • Minimum of one year of direct patient care experience.

Requirements

One of the following required addition to the high school diploma or GED

  • Completion of a formal nursing assistant educational program or certification (e.g. Diploma/Course/Certificate/Associates Degree/etc. completed in a Certified Nurse Assistant, Medical Assistant, or similar clinical education program)
  • Currently enrolled in a BSN degree program with one clinical rotation completed at the time of hire
  • One (1) year of direct patient care experience
