Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health seeks a Patient Care Technician to support patient safety under the direction of a Registered Nurse. The role requires mobility, including standing for periods, and the ability to work in isolation precautions.

You will perform frequent checks on patients with a Patient Watch Order and document observations. Responsibilities include monitoring patient movement to prevent wandering, assisting with transport, and following established competencies and behavior standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or GED-equivalent programs.
• Ability to stay mobile including standing for periods of time.
• Must be able to work in situations with isolation precautions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
• Provide frequent checks on patients under a Patient Watch Order.
• Monitor patient movements and prevent wandering.
• Record and Document patient behavior.
• Assist with patient transport when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned and adhere to organizational standards.
