Endeavor Health seeks a Patient Safety Observer for Elmhurst, IL, on a full-time 36-hour week. The role runs day shifts from 7pm to 7:30am with rotating weekends/holidays, requiring a high school diploma, Care Companion certification within two weeks, and CPR/BLS certification.

The observer will monitor patients under supervision, ensure safety, document observations, and assist staff while maintaining a respectful, infection-controlled environment. Competitive hourly pay is offered.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED.
• Certification: Care Companion class completion within two weeks of start date.
• CPR BLS from Red Cross or American Heart Association.
• Ability to read, exchange information, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Basic analytical ability to read instructions and enter data.
• Basic communication skills to exchange information and follow instructions.
• Patience and compassion for patient concerns.
• Physical stamina to stay alert during shifts and lift/position patients.
