Job summary

Endeavor Health in Elmhurst is seeking a Patient Safety Observer for 36 hours per week. The role includes night shifts from 7pm to 7:30am, with rotation every other weekend and holiday, and requires a high school diploma or GED plus Care Companion certification with on-the-job training within two weeks of start date.

CPR BLS certification is required. Candidates should have basic reading, data entry, and communication skills, and be able to lift and position patients while maintaining patient

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED.
• Certification: Care Companion class completion with on-the-job training within two weeks of start date.
• CPR BLS from ARC or AHA.
• Ability to read and exchange information with patients and others.
• Patience and compassion for listening to patient concerns.
• Must be available to work assigned shifts.

Responsibilities

• Observe and monitor the condition of patients under supervision.
• Provide compassionate and caring attention while ensuring a safe environment.
• Adhere to infection control precautions and safety procedures.
• Assist in lifting/positioning patients as required.
• Maintain logs and records as directed.
