Job summary

AdventHealth in Shawnee Mission, Kansas, is seeking a Part-Time Nights Nursing Assistant to support the nursing staff on the night shift. The role includes transporting patients, delivering equipment, answering phones, and assisting visitors when not on direct observation.

Earns $15.15–$22.73 per hour with benefits from day one. The position requires a High School diploma or equivalent, BLS certification, and at least 1 year of healthcare experience; night shifts run 7pm–7am with two 12-hour

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or Equivalent is required.
• 1+ clinical experience in a physician office or other healthcare environment preferred.
• 1+ experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assists nursing staff with transporting patients, equipment, supplies, specimens, trays, phones and visitor assistance when not providing direct patient observation.
• Intervenes to prevent patient self-harm or harm to others and seeks immediate escalation.
• Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Creates clear and accurate documentation of patient status and activities during shift.
• Promotes positive patient interactions and patient- and family-centered care.

• Assists nursing staff with tasks such as transporting patients, delivering equipment and supplies, transporting specimens, delivering patient trays, answering phones, and assisting visitors when not providing direct patient observation.
