Job summary

UCSF Health is seeking a Food Service Associate to join the Nutrition & Food Services team in San Francisco. You will stock, assemble, and serve portion-controlled meals, replenish stations, and perform general sanitation duties while delivering courteous care to patients, visitors, and staff.

The role includes handling cash and card transactions, assisting with cashiering, and supporting both Retail and Patient Food Services areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of customer-facing experience in food service, hospitality or retail.
• Read, write, follow written or oral instructions and be understood in English.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to orient and work at UCSF Medical Center locations.
• Flexibility to work at multiple UCSF Medical Center locations.

Responsibilities

• Stocking, assembling, and serving portion-controlled hot and cold food.
• Replenishing and stocking stations and general sanitation duties.
• Cash, credit card and debit card transactions as needed.
• Provide excellent customer, patient, and staff interactions as ambassador for the department.
