UCSF Health is hiring for a Catering Food Services role within our Nutrition and Food Services department. The position supports safe, accurate, and timely food service across UCSF Health sites, including setup, serving, cleanup, stocking, and sanitation.

When needed, you may drive a catering van to events and interact with patients, staff, and customers as the department ambassador. The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, at least two years of customer-facing

• Minimum 2 years of customer-facing experience in food service, hospitality or retail.
• Read, write, follow written or oral instructions and be understood in English.
• Basic computer skills.
• This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.
• Ability to meet physical demands involved with job duties as outlined below.

Job Description

This person works as a team to provide food service that is safe, accurate, timely and responsive to the customer and patient’s needs. Food service includes stocking, assembling, and serving portion controlled hot and cold food, replenishing and stocking stations, and general sanitation duties. This position is in Catering Food Services which includes setup, serving, and cleanup of catering events across UCSF Health sites. This position may be responsible for driving catering van with food and supplies to events. This person maintains cleanliness and sanitation of the foodservice areas and equipment. This position is responsible for providing excellent customer, patient, and staff interactions and is looked upon as the ambassador for the department of Nutrition and Food Services. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two years of college or equivalent.
