Job summary

AdventHealth in Winter Haven, FL is seeking a patient services specialist to triage calls from facilities, patients, physician offices, hospitals, pharmacies, and home health.

You will coordinate appointments, educate and screen new patients, and guide them through their plan of care, while delivering compassionate customer service and basic insurance knowledge.

• Customer service and service recovery skills.
• Basic insurance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Triages incoming calls from facilities, patients, physician offices, hospitals, pharmacies, and home health.
• Coordinates new patient appointments and disseminates information based on acuity level.
• Educates and screens all new patients in preparation for their appointments to ensure their plan of care is appropriate.
• Navigates patients through their entire plan of care.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Description:
