The physical requirements for this position include regularly sitting, standing, walking, with some pushing, pulling, and/or lifting objects weighing up to 10lbs and occasional pushing, pulling, and/or lifting objects up to 25lbs.
Monday – Friday, Day Shift; typically 8:00AM – 5:00PM (40 hrs/wk)
This position will be located off-campus in Frankfort, KY at UKHC Frankfort.
The Patient Relations Assistant is foundational to facilitating an engaging and positive patient experience.
The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: greeting patients, registration, insurance verification, cash handling, medical record preparation, scheduling appointments, procuring new patient records, communicating information with patients via the telephone and in person, and answering the telephone.
This position supports efficient patient care and clinic initiatives to improve patient attendance and keep attendance records.
The ideal candidate will have customer service experience and be able to communicate calmly and helpfully during stressful and/or crisis situations. Should be able to pay high attention to detail; work with a teamwork mindset; have data entry skills and respect for confidentiality; be able to prioritize tasks efficiently; and work in multiple systems simultaneously.
