Job summary

Highland District Hospital in Hillsboro, OH, seeks a PRN Registration/Switchboard Associate to interview patients, collect complete admission data, obtain signatures, and explain hospital rules with courtesy and professionalism.

You will operate a multi-line switchboard, page staff via intercom/radio, monitor alarms, protect patient privacy, and support pre-admissions, outpatient care, and switchboard functions while maintaining composure in demanding situations.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma (or equivalent).
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients or their representatives, obtain and verify information for admission/registration.
• Operate multi-line, multi-extension switchboard and handle pages via intercom/radio systems.
• Monitor hospital alarms and maintain privacy and confidentiality of patient information.
• Cross-train within the department to handle pre-admissions, outpatient care, and switchboard functions.
