Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 1 year related experience preferred.
• Interview patients to collect account/insurance information and verify details.
• Comply with Federal/State regulations including EMTALA during patient interactions.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes and interviews incoming patients to obtain information for account processing and medical records.
• Registers and discharges patients; ensures necessary paperwork is complete.
• Manages co-pay, deductible and self-pay collection prior to services when required.
• Coordinates authorizations/signatures for treatment and insurance processing.
• Maintains daily accuracy and supports performance improvement activities.
