Job summary

DevHub, Inc. seeks a Registrar to register patients across departments including ED, Admitting, Outpatient Lab, Imaging Center and Pre-procedure testing, ensuring accurate demographic, insurance, contact, privacy and financial data in compliance with payer regulations.

The role requires strong communication, data entry, and the ability to work in a fast-paced hospital setting. Per diem shifts with flexible scheduling support operations seven days a week.

Qualifications

• Six months to one year on-the-job experience in admissions/registration.
• Understanding of insurance data and medical terminology.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong customer service and clerical skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with hospital personnel to maximize patient data registration and refer information to the Financial Counselor for follow-up.
• Accurately identify insurance data in the HIS system to ensure proper billing information is documented.
• Gather government-mandated statistics via screening forms and specific data fields within the HIS system.
• Collect deposits and/or co-payments at the time of, or before, the patient is registered.
• Gather all necessary signatures on all required forms.
• Interact in a professional and courteous manner with staff members and the public at large.
• Schedule patient appointments and enter required information in the computer system in an accurate and timely manner.
• Act within the scope of the job, utilizing critical thinking skills, making decisive judgments, and demonstrating the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrates an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• In addition to performing the essential functions listed, may also be assigned other duties as required.
