Responsibilities require mobility throughout the ED, strong communication skills, and adherence to safety/quality standards. Shifts include evenings/nights, with a mix of 8- and 12-hour duties and weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required and 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Epic RC/EMR is preferred.
• HFMA certification is preferred.
• Good written and verbal communication skills and professional phone etiquette.

Responsibilities

• Register patients on-site in the Emergency Department, verifying demographics, insurance, and emergency contacts.
• Collect ED copays and gather pertinent data from patients.
• Greet patients arriving by ambulance or helicopter and guide them through registration.
• Must be able to walk to patients' locations in the ED and hospital while maintaining safety protocols.
• Adhere to quality assurance guidelines and productivity standards.
