In-person, phone, or virtual registrations may be involved, with a focus on accuracy and patient safety. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and 2+ years of relevant experience, plus strong communication and computer skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 2+ years of relevant experience required.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively with basic computer skills and good verbal/written communication.
• Experience with scheduling systems and procedures; phone etiquette; professional interaction with diverse backgrounds.
• HFMA Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients accurately at check-in/admissions in hospital or ED.
• Verify demographics, collect insurance data, create accounts, obtain signatures, and provide required forms.
• Assist patients with self-registration and collect co-payments.
• Maintain patient safety with positive identification and required consents.
• May assist with Medicaid applications.
