TRA Medical Imaging is seeking a Registration Specialist to warmly greet patients and clients, register them for radiology procedures, and communicate professionally with medical facilities. The role includes collecting payments, verifying insurance, and maintaining accurate demographics and paperwork for the imaging modalities used at Sunrise imaging centers.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of radiology procedures including Mammography, Bone Densitometry, Ultrasound, CT, MRI, NM, FL, PET, IR.
• Working knowledge of CPT codes and the RIS system.
• Use proper phone etiquette and correct grammar.
• Ability to demonstrate effective customer service skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a teamwork environment and have respectful behavior with co-workers.
• Communicate professionally with medical facilities, patients, and customers.
• Ability to provide geographical directions to all outpatient locations.
• Excellent verbal communication and good organizational skills.
• Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems including word processing, typing and filing.

Responsabilités

• Greet and register patients for radiology procedures, ensuring comfort and answering questions.
• Verify patient insurance coverage and demographics; ensure paperwork for the modality is complete.
• Collect account payments.
• Handle routine office procedures including word processing, referrals, faxing and keeping work areas organized.
• Navigate the RIS system and scan documents.
• Check work email daily.
• Follow HIPAA privacy and security policies.
