Job summary

Hanker Systems, Inc. is seeking a Patient Service/Access Representative for our outpatient clinic.

The role focuses on scheduling, pre-registration, referrals, authorizations, and financial clearance, ensuring smooth patient flow from check-in to registration. Responsibilities include verifying eligibility and benefits, including Medi-Cal/Medicare and Workers' Compensation, estimating patient responsibility, and collecting co-pays and deductibles while maintaining accurate patient information

Qualifications

• Epic experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Experience with medical insurance, referrals, and benefit plans.
• 3+ years as a Patient Service/Access Representative in an outpatient Clinic Or medical office

Responsibilities

• Support patient access activities including scheduling, pre-registration, referrals, authorizations, financial clearance, and patient registration.
• Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, TPL, Medi-Cal/Medicare, and Workers Compensation.
• Determine patient responsibility, provide estimates, and collect co-pays/deductibles.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain accurate patient information.
