Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Two+ years in medical office work or hospital registration.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance/authorization requirements.
• Ability to multitask with minimal supervision and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and families and conduct registration.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain authorizations.
• Explain policies and collect deposits and co-pays.
• Provide financial counseling and assist with financial assistance paperwork.
• Loster duties within Patient Financial Services as needed.
