Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Strong computer skills and Microsoft Office knowledge.
• Ability to deliver excellent customer service via phone, in person, and in writing.
• One year of patient admitting/registration experience preferred.
• EPIC training/experience and familiarity with ICD-10 terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow procedures for patient registration, including face-to-face check-in, preregistration, and insurance eligibility confirmation.
• Perform new patient registration and update existing patient and insurance information.
• Respond to inquiries from callers and visitors, advocating on their behalf to ensure patient needs are met.
• Manage cash collections and ensure accurate financial transactions.
• Provide efficient CRM, instilling loyalty and anticipating patient needs.

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to meet or exceed core customer service responsibilities, standards, and behaviors effectively over the telephone, in person, and in writing.

Preferred Qualifications

• One (1) year of experience related to patient admitting, registration, and/or insurance eligibility and verification in a hospital or medical office setting.
• EPIC training/experience and familiarity with insurance payor systems and ICD-10 medical terminology.
