Job summary

Taylor Regional Hospital is hiring a Patient Registration Clerk for weekend, part-time shifts. The role is based in the Lab on the 1st floor of the Jane Wheatley Medical Building, with shifts from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Saturdays and Sundays. On-the-job training is provided, and competitive benefits are offered.

The clerk will enter patient information, collect insurance details, obtain orders, and ensure HIPAA compliance while delivering compassionate service to patients and families.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided.
Knowledge of HIPAA or willingness to learn is a plus.

Responsibilities

Obtains and enters patient information into the computer system accurately.
Requests identification cards (e.g., insurance) and paperwork through the interview process.
Obtains provider orders electronically or from the patient.
Communicates effectively with patients, families, and other team members.
Follows HIPAA compliance.
Ensures all patients have a diagnosis.
Manages completion of consent forms for patient financial responsibility and consent of treatment.

Weekends Only | 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Additional hours may be available based on departmental needs

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
