Position: Phlebotomist

Location: 1st floor of the Jane Wheatley Medical Building, Taylor Regional Hospital, Kentucky

Schedule: PRN positions available

Responsibilities

• Collection of blood and urine samples
• Adhere to proper guidelines of cleanliness, safety, and disposal requirements
• Participate in required education and competencies
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other team members
• Follow HIPAA compliance
• Demonstrate strong skills and techniques, respond to verbal orders, and use judgment appropriately
• Handle and manage supplies, testing, and specimen handling protocols

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification and/or Lab Assistant preferred
• No experience required
• Strong communication skills
• Frequent standing and walking
• Maintain accurate and concise documentation
• Time management required
