Job summary

Inova Health System in Falls Church, VA, seeks a Patient Registration professional for its Float Pool. The role focuses on world-class customer service, insurance verification, and admissions support across hospitals and clinics, with travel to nearby sites in Alexandria, Mount Vernon, Springfield, and Oakville.

Qualifications

• 2 years of healthcare patient access experience, or 2 years of customer service.
• 2 years of registration or healthcare revenue cycle experience.
• 6 months of outpatient registration.
• 6 months of ED registration.

Responsibilities

• Supports scheduling undertakings by conducting pre-service activities such as insurance verification and submission.
• Troubleshoots individual admission issues in collaboration with other departments and/or team members.
• Explains insurance benefits and patient liability by using appropriate communication methods/styles.
• Identifies and communicates payroll authorization and referral requirements.
• Manages assigned work queues to ensure that errors are corrected.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Description

The Patient Registration Float Pool Team position is responsible for providing excellent customer service throughout Inova Health System by identifying and fulfilling customer and departmental needs. Provides world-class service to patients by filling vacancies within clinical departments. Travels to hospitals and outpatient practices in Alexandria, Mount Vernon, Springfield, and Oakville. Full-time, evening/overnight (3pm - 11:30pm/11pm - 7:30am).
