Job summary

R1 RCM in North Carolina is looking for a dedicated professional to assist patients with the registration process at LifePoint Maria Parham Health. This role requires strong customer service skills, and the ability to gather information quickly in a dynamic environment.

With a shift of PRN as needed, you will help patients feel at ease during their visit, navigate diverse insurance plans, and adapt to urgent situations. The base pay ranges from $16.00 – $21.10 per hour based on experience.

Location & Shift

Location: LifePoint Maria Parham Health
Shift: PRN, as needed; minimum required hours a month 48, 24 on call, additional shifts available

Responsibilities

• Help patients navigate the registration process
• Answer questions with confidence, clarity, and compassion
• Gather accurate information quickly in a fast‑paced environment
• Build trust with patients during moments when they may be scared, confused, or overwhelmed
• Work across multiple computer systems to register patients efficiently
• Answer phones and collect information quickly and accurately
• Assist patients who may be ill, anxious, or confused
• Navigate diverse insurance plans and coverage details (with training)
• Adapt to interruptions from clinical teams during urgent care situations
• Build rapport and ease patient concerns in real time
• Remain on your feet, think fast, and make a real impact in a dynamic environment

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Strong customer service experience
• Ability to pass background check, drug test, and meet vaccination requirements

Preferred

• Medical or healthcare experience (not required)
