Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Patient Services Representative to serve as the first point of contact for patients and the community. The role involves registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and basic data entry in the practice setting.

You will assist patients with payments, referrals, and MyChart, ensuring accurate records and smooth patient flow across locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact between patients and physician practices.
• Greet patients and the community with respectful service.
• Answer calls, schedule patients, and enter information for scheduling.
• Process patient registration and verify basic insurance information.
• Collect patient liabilities and process payments; reconcile cash drawer daily.
• Assist with referrals, MyChart scheduling, and follow-up appointments.
• Obtain authorizations and pre-certifications when applicable.
• Pull and file patient charts and route to clinical staff as needed.
