Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in an acute care facility or related environment preferred.
• Willingness to cross-train in other areas (Admitting, Business Office, ER).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; detail oriented and organized.

Responsibilities

• Greet, collect and process all incoming patient information to obtain demographic requirements per regulations and hospital policies.
• Provide care documentation support, verify reimbursement from third parties, and maintain records.
• Register patients on arrival to the ED and assign temporary IDs (ED only) as needed; complete full registration.
• Maintain stroke knowledge by completing annual training and recognize stroke signs for stroke alerts.
