Wellington Regional Medical Center in Wellington, Florida, seeks an ED Registration Clerk to support patient intake in a fast-paced hospital environment. This full-time role (32 hours per week) covers afternoon/evening shifts, greeting patients, collecting data, and ensuring accurate demographic and insurance information is captured per hospital policy.

You will coordinate with the Emergency Department, handle third-party verification for reimbursements, and be prepared to float to other areas

Formación

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Medical terminology knowledge.
• Basic computer skills and data entry.
• Filing and typing proficiency.

Responsabilidades

• Greet patients and collect/verify demographic and insurance information per hospital policies.
• Procure reimbursement verification from third parties and maintain patient records.
• Willingness to cross-train and float to other areas as needed.
• Recognize stroke signs and initiate stroke alert procedures; assign temporary patient IDs in the ED and complete full registration on arrival.
• Maintain currency in stroke knowledge with annual trainings.
