Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Registrar, you will be responsible for timely and accurate patient registration, interviewing patients for account information, and verifying insurance coverage.

Responsibilities include:

• Interview patients at workstation or bedside to obtain necessary account information using carts/computers on wheels.
• Provide exemplary customer service.
• Ensure completion and accuracy of charts.
• Verify insurance and obtain pre-certification/authorization.
• Calculate and collect patient liability amounts.
• Obtain signatures for treatments and necessary documentation.
• Process patient charts according to paperwork flow and productivity standards.
• Interview incoming patients and responsible parties for demographic and insurance information.
• Assign insurance plans accurately.
• Verify insurance benefits and determine pre-certification/authorization status online or via other resources. Initiate pre-certification if required.
• Secure signatures for treatments, medical information release, and insurance benefits assignment.
• Explain policies on services, pricing, insurance billing, and payments.

Qualifications:

• 1 year of related experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.
