Job summary

USPI Foundation Surgical Hospital is seeking a motivated Registrar to join our team. We operate with 25 beds, 8 OR rooms, and 3 ER rooms, providing outpatient orthopedic and spine procedures.

The Registrar will be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming experience and accurate handling of administrative tasks. Primary duties include patient registration, insurance verification, scheduling support, and collaboration with clinical and administrative teams to facilitate smooth

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications are a plus.
• Previous front desk/registration experience in a healthcare setting is required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance verification is a plus.
• Proficiency in computer applications and data entry.
• Longevity in past roles.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients and their families, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
• Register patients accurately, verify insurance information, and update patient records.
• Answer patient inquiries and provide information regarding the surgery process and financial aspects.
• Ensure that all necessary forms and consents are completed and signed by patients.
• Collaborate with the clinical and administrative teams to facilitate a smooth patient intake process.
• Assist with scheduling and appointment coordination as needed.
