Qualifications

• 1 year of related experience preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required

Responsibilities

• Interview patients to obtain account information and register at bedside
• Provide exemplary customer service
• Ensure charts are complete and accurate
• Verify insurance and obtain pre-certification/authorization
• Calculate and collect patient liability amounts
• Obtain necessary signatures for treatment
• Process patient charts according to workflow and productivity standards
• Interview incoming patients and relatives to collect demographic and insurance information
• Assign insurance plans accurately
• Enter authorization/referral numbers into the registration system
• Explain policies regarding services, pricing, insurance billing and payment of accounts
