Job summary

Conviva Senior Primary Care is seeking a Referral and Scheduling Coordinator to handle scheduling and pre-registration for exams and procedures with external specialists. You will support patients and referring providers with preparation instructions and navigate policy guidelines with some discretionary priority setting.

The role requires at least 2 years in referral healthcare, proficiency in medical terminology, MS Office, and EMR systems, plus strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on referral healthcare experience in a clinical setting, preferably within the Medicare population.
• Proficient with medical terminology.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records.
• Excellent professional communication abilities, at all levels within the organization and with patients, at all times.
• This role is considered patient facing and is part of the company's TB screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.
• Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and pre-register patients for exams and procedures with outside specialists and providers.
• Gather and communicate all preparation instructions to patient and referring providers.
• Follow policies and prioritize tasks within defined parameters; exercise independent discretion within guidelines.
• Report to the Medical Referrals Supervisor.
