Job summary

Prism Vision Group in the United States is seeking a Clinical Research Recruiter I. This exempt role can be remote or based in a Prism Vision Group location.

You will support centralized patient recruitment across our ophthalmology trial sites, perform pre-screening, contact potential participants, and track recruitment metrics to help meet enrollment goals. Experience in clinical research and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of experience in patient recruitment or clinical research coordination.
  • Experience conducting patient-facing communications and screening activities.
  • Previous experience in a dedicated patient recruitment role.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct centralized patient recruitment and pre-screening across Prism Vision Group.
  • Review referrals, patient records, scheduling reports to identify candidates.
  • Perform protocol-specific pre-screening to assess eligibility.
  • Contact prospective participants via phone, text, email, and other approved methods.
  • Ensure timely follow-up on referrals and inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment documentation in approved systems.
  • Track recruitment metrics, screening outcomes, enrollment, and site performance.
  • Generate recruitment reports for leadership and sponsors.
  • Collaborate with coordinators, investigators, physicians, and staff on enrollment.
  • Participate in study kickoff meetings and develop recruitment summaries.
  • Escalate barriers and operational issues to leadership.
  • Support new recruitment initiatives, technologies, workflows, and processes.
  • Participate in department, site, cross-functional, and sponsor meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Overview

This exempt role can be remote or based out of a Prism Vision Group location.

Compensation Range: $75.000.00 - $85,000.00 (Dependent on Experience)

The Clinical Research Recruiter I (CRR)is responsible forsupporting centralized patient recruitment and pre-screening activities across Prism Vision Group's network of ophthalmology research sites. The CRR partners with research coordinators, physicians, office staff, and sponsors toidentifypotential clinical trial participants, conduct preliminary qualification reviews, andfacilitatetimelyreferral of eligible patients to site research teams. The role plays a critical part in achieving enrollment goals through proactive outreach,accuratedocumentation, and consistent follow-up with prospective participants.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct centralized patient recruitment and pre-screening activities for clinical research studies across Prism Vision Group.
  • Review referral opportunities, patient records, scheduling reports, and other recruitment sources toidentifypotential research candidates.
  • Perform protocol-specific pre-screening to assess patient eligibility based on inclusion and exclusion criteria.
  • Contact prospective participants via phone, text, email, and other approved communication methods to discuss research opportunities.
  • Ensuretimelyfollow-up on all referral opportunities and patient inquiries.
  • Maintainaccurateand complete documentation of recruitment activities within approved systems and databases.
  • Track recruitment metrics, screening outcomes, enrollment conversions, and site performance indicators.
  • Generate recruitment reports and provide updates to leadership, site teams, sponsors, and other stakeholders as needed.
  • Collaborate with research coordinators, investigators, physicians, and office staff to support enrollment strategies and patient engagement initiatives.
  • Participate in study kickoff meetings and develop recruitment summaries outlining eligibility criteria, target patient populations, outreach strategies, and enrollment goals.
  • Escalate recruitment barriers, enrollment concerns, and operational issues to leadership asappropriate.
  • Support implementation of new recruitment initiatives, technologies, workflows, and process improvement efforts.
  • Participate in department, site, cross-functional, and sponsor meetings asrequired.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of clinical research processes, GCP guidelines, FDA regulations, and medical terminology.
  • Understandingofpatient recruitment, patient retention, and enrollment strategies within clinical research.
  • Knowledge of ophthalmology clinical research preferred.
  • Working knowledge of electronic medical records and patient database systems.
  • Experience reviewing patient charts toidentifypotential clinical trial candidates.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Minimum

  • 2-3 years of experience in patient recruitment, clinical research recruitment, healthcare outreach, clinical research coordination, or a related healthcare role.
  • Experience conducting patient-facing communications and screening activities.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a dedicated patient recruitment role.
  • Experience supporting clinical trial enrollment efforts.
  • Ophthalmology research experience preferred.
  • Experience working across multiple sites or within a research network.
Certifications / Education

Minimum

  • Associate's degree in healthcare, life sciences, business, communications, or related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Clinical research certification (ACRP, SOCRA) preferred.
