Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking an ROI Specialist to handle requests for patient health information, ensuring accuracy and compliance with state and federal privacy laws. You will respond to inquiries from internal and external customers and may serve as a Texas Notary Public as needed.

The role requires an Associate’s degree in health information management or related field and at least one year of health information management experience, with preference for ROI experience.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in health information management or related field, or equivalent experience.
• One year of experience in health information management, with ROI preferred.
• Knowledge of privacy laws governing release of information.

Responsibilities

• Respond to internal and external requests for patient health information.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal privacy laws when releasing records.
• Enter data into ROI systems and track payments for record copies.
• Provide excellent customer service in a timely manner.
