Day Kimball Health in Putnam, CT is hiring a Pre-Certification Registration Clerk to join our Physical Medicine team. You will greet patients, collect demographics, insurance information, and assist with co-pays for outpatient PT/OT/SLP services.

Under the supervision of the Physical Medicine Director, you will perform insurance pre-certifications, registrations, scheduling, and related clerical duties. A high school diploma is required, with an associate degree preferred, and clerical

Qualifications

• High school graduate; Associate degree preferred.
• Minimum of one year clerical experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Experience with scheduling and billing systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsabilités

• Registers and schedules patients for the Physical Medicine Department.
• Handles pre-certifications, recertifications, and insurance authorizations.
• Performs daily billing/charge entry with auditing for accuracy.
• Keeps current on Medicare, welfare, and all other insurance policies.
• Performs monthly Medicaid EDS verifications and reports.
• Co-pay collection and related clerical duties.
