Job summary

Colorado Coalition for the Homeless seeks a pharmacy operations assistant to support clerical, administrative, and customer service functions. You will help patients with medication pick‑up, schedule follow‑ups, and assist in medication delivery while maintaining accurate documentation for third‑party reimbursement and patient assistance programs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
• At least 6 months of experience in a customer service or administrative support role.
• Experience in healthcare, pharmacy, or community health setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and communicate with patients in a trauma‑informed, respectful, and culturally responsive manner.
• Provide ready‑to‑pick‑up medications to patients, including verifying order readiness through the pharmacy operating system.
• Assist in scheduling follow‑up appointments as directed by integrated health team members.
• Package and process medication orders for site or home delivery.
• Obtain and organize documentation for pharmacists, including paperwork for insurance, billing, and patient assistance programs.
• Record clinical services and interactions in the EHR and RXQ systems in a timely manner.
• Maintain up‑to‑date documentation in EHR and RXQ platforms.
• Deliver excellent customer service to patients, providers, internal staff, and external partners.
