Job summary

Compass Group USA's TouchPoint Support Services unit in Appleton, WI is hiring immediately for Patient Observation Assistant roles, both full-time and part-time, with schedules ranging from 3:00 pm–11:30 pm and 11:00 pm–7:30 am. The position requires high school diploma, CPR/BLS within 30 days, ability to stand/walk and lift up to 50 pounds, and prior healthcare experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent is required.
• Current CPR AED or BLS-HCP certification required within 30 days of hire, if required at the facility.
• Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods. Requires bending, stooping, reaching up, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• One to two years of previous experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides visual and audible observation of assigned patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) and unit manager.
• Visually and audibly monitors the assigned patient's condition and behavior at all times.
• Completes observation reports at established intervals.
• Supports patient safety and comfort, escorts patients to tests, responds to emergencies, and reports concerns to nursing staff.
• Participates in hand-off of information and maintains patient environment safety.
