Job summary

Aramark in Pascagoula, MS is seeking a Patient Services Worker to support hospital food service operations. The role focuses on patient meal delivery, nutrition support, and coordination with the Food and Nutrition Services and Nursing teams.

You will ensure diet orders are followed, communicate patient preferences, and maintain sanitation and inventory across unit kitchens. Strong English communication is required; bilingual is a plus. This is an on-site position at Singing River.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, and write English. Bilingual abilities preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers and collects patient trays during meal service.
• Delivers nourishments and/or snacks to patients as ordered by physician/dietitian.
• Obtains patient food preferences/dislikes from patients and/or family members.
• Communicates all patient food needs to the appropriate area of the Food and Nutrition Services Department.
• Ensures that nutrition diet care orders are provided to the patient by offering appropriate menu selections.
• Maintains and adheres to sanitation standards by following assigned cleaning schedules.
• Inventories and restocks pantries, refrigerator, and freezers on assigned unit(s).
• Maintains temperature logs for unit refrigerators and freezers.
• Assists the clinical staff in ensuring all patients' basic nutrition care needs are met.
